Once the results of the second day was compiled and the prizes given out, the two team captains sat down to fix the pairing for the individual match-play of the third day. It was conducted by way of an 'auction'......the Staroba Captain would offer one name and the Koba Tin Captain would select one of his players to play against the Staroba golfer put out after taking into consideration the scores the player achieved over the first two games. The Koba Tin Captain would next offer his player to the Staroba Captain who would scrutinise the scores achieved by this player and then match him with one from Staroba who he thought would have a good chance of beating the Koba Tin player on offer. It went on like this until everyone was finally matched with their opponent.
and strategise who would be the better opponent...
